so one of the reasons I fell in with tabs is because they reminded me of the old vintage campers. So with that said one of the thing I like most about the older campers is the fact the stove and refrigerator were paint to match the color of the camper. So my next project I'm going to take the door off my refrigerator and paint it to match the trim of my tab.

Haven't started the painting yet but I have been working on a cabinet door idea. What do you guys and gals think?

Adorable! The flamingos aren't pink LOL. There might be some local laws against the display of any semblance of pink flamingos though, so I understand ;) Kidding, really! I luv it. The knob is very retro too.

Sorry dude. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder... I like the beautiful natural Amish wood finish. You did ask what we think and I'm usually straight forward. Ask my wife. You'll find me in the dog house...

I would recommend finding a wrap or peel and stick. Painting it might make it harder to sell down the road.

I let this set over night and ended up removing it because it was just too green.

Yeah, I just can't see covering up the beauty of the birch woodwork, no way.

I don't think I would cover the wood either, but I know some have (there is one woman who really has a thing for pink and painted nearly everything in her T@B pink), but I do like the color of the fridge you did there.

I think after seeing ALL that pink, they'd have to put me in an institutional green cell

OMG.. not the institutional green!!! I still have nightmares about that color because of being sick as a kid. LOL. How many people have been traumatized by that color? =)

Ye ole woodworker says to use Old English Light Wood Scratch Remover and let the natural beauty of the wood shine on.

I have refused jobs or projects thst entailed painting of hardwood.

That's my opinion and I'll always stick with it.

But, you bought your T@B and do with it what you want. Don't forget about resale value. Will the next owner appreciate your decorating?  How much trouble will you have selling it?

I'm not worried about resale. I'm the kind of guy that keeps things till they are completely broke down and useless. And did remove the decorations from the cabinet. I have no worries about covering the wood. As a long time wood working I have always thought birch wood was on the low end of the wood spectrum. Not saying its cheap and I do love my tab.

I plan to do my decorating with removable, changeable things like rugs, window treatments, etc. In fact I have a couple of artistic friends coming over today to make some unique throw pillows. Who knows, in a couple years I might want a completely different look!

Yes - I gather that would be the end of the road for you. So I won't call your pillows cute. :)

It a bold color, for certain.  I'm with PXLated.  The only thing I have done to my T@B is add two pillows and the Lagun table mount.  All other creativity is in the food I prepare.

Can I come visit during supper? :) Beanie Weenies and hotdogs are about as creative as I get, and that's when I'm home LOL.

I love it. I also took the covers off the two speakers and painted them the same color. that paint covers very well it turned out very smooth.
