Towing without a house battery

I have been reading my collection of bookmarked posts and came across one discussing using shorepower without a battery installed. Someone mentioned that they routinely tow the Tab to and from storage without the house battery. It occurred to me that unless you have a separate Breakaway Switch battery installed on the Tab, you would not have any breakaway brakes without the house battery. Is that correct?

Towing without out a battery on a trailer with electric brakes is illegal to do in MD (trailer poundage & brake requirements are listed in the law) .
One can always do what my friend with her horse trailer does. She has a 12V motorcycle AGM battery that is dedicated just for the breakaway switch. The battery is tiny, holds a nearly full charge for months, easy to store and secure in your camper bin.2017 820R Retro Toy Hauler from 2015 Tabitha T@B from 2009 Reverse LG Teardrop (but a T@Bluver at heart)
