    Sorry to say, if it is level and still acting up, you may need to have it serviced. The troubleshooting charts look pretty straightforward, but even if you had a multimeter and could access all the test points, there would still be the problem of getting parts.

    jenn, the fan is controlled by it's own thermoswitch, which is monitoring the temperature of the fins area of the fridge (the condenser, I believe).

    It will run in 12v mode (it's powered by the 12v system).

    It only runs when the fins reach a certain temperature.
