BAL Leveler in action

I know there have been many discussions with the BAL Leveler mentioned. Here is an example of one doing it's job very well.
We are in a nice campsite with a bit of a side slope and our BAL Leveler was just the right solution. In the picture you'll see that it is almost fully extended and has given about 10-12 inches of lift to that wheel. The stabilizers still easily reach the ground and make the T@B nice and steady.
We don't need this very often but sometimes it saves a lot of fidgeting and repositioning to get in the right spot on a campsite.

I love mine, too, Bob. Used mine this past weekend at an otherwise perfect site. I was concerned because it was gravel but it did fine.

Me too. I just bought my T@B and immediately got a BAL. Very happy with it. The one thing I did do was buy a new ratchet wrench that did not have a switch on it. The thing that came with the BAL was a real piece of work.

I had to crank mine up almost that much at Stone Mountain in GA. That's a bunch of work, but I just can't imagine trying that much of a difference with blocks.

Blocks all the way for me...
Five high (used all my blocks) under one wheel one day last week.
Been in three campgrounds the last two weeks where I used five blocks for each back wheel to raise the T@B enough to get the jack low enough for level - downward slopping site.
Another one nighter, remained hooked up, needed to raise the TV to raise the tongue - blocks to the rescue.
There's nothing, nothing more versatile than blocks :-)

Carol - My (stabilizer) power drill ran it up the whole way - even surprised me.
Chan - The pin stripe is reflective also - improved night time visibility and bling!

BAL for me too. I did use a single block last week to level the trail and remain hitched, but find that is rare for the camping we do.

On my last trip, the threads on my BAL Leveler stripped while lowering to leave our site. I had to drive the T@B off the leveler. No damage, but I'm going to giveth Anderson's a try.

Not the first time I have heard of this happening. I try and keep it clean and well lubricated.

H'mm thanks to for the reminder. Heading out of Florida on our next trip. Need to make sure we have of enough blocks for camping in areas not topographically challenged as we are here. Very likely the Anderson alone won't do in North Carolina, New York, etc.

I've found a couple of campsites where even one thickness of the blocks was too much. Maybe I'm overdoing it, but I cut a couple of pieces of half inch plywood to use in those circumstances. I can see how a BAL leveler would be very useful in places like that.

Those small plastic cutting boards (1/4-3/8") work good when a 1" block is too much.
