New Black Wheels on 2017 Outback?

Mine should arrive any day but I was looking on trader sites today and noticed a few new Outbacks with black wheels. The were listed as new units so possibly there has been a change in the factory feature? I'm asking because I happen to love black wheels on my vehicles so it possibly a exciting change for me.

    No pictures but if you go to one of the rv trader sites and look up specific outback 2017 several of them have grayish to black rims including the spare. Looks good, I hope mine comes with them if there has been a change. No more white letter General tires on them either, its a solid black tire, I can't make out the brand. I guess it could be a dealer upgrade but I think the dealers were different

    There are still many 2017 Outbacks listed with chrome rims so it could be based on build dates for the black rims

    Several on West Coast and a few listed in NC with black rims so it's either a change or a dealer ordered deal. If it's factory I sure hope mine gets them

    Fatman - If your's hasn't been delivered, talk to your dealer and see if you can get it that way. Show them the pic.

    @Fatman1966 I've been on RV trader and I can't find any 2017's with black rims. Can you post a link or a picture?

    Tires are Westlake, I googled them and they are China made junk/garbage according to reviews and expect opinions on tire.I like the rims if that been changed but I don't want 30.00 junk tires on a single axle camper! The black rims and knock off name brand tires could be a specific dealer adds on but it's odd there are numerous units setting on lots across west and east coast dealers that appear to be the same.

    Factory (Ed) replied today and confirmed there has been a change to black rims for the Outback.

    Black rims are such a "guy thing." I see it all of the time with Jeeps. I think it only looks good with certain color combos. I wouldn't want them with my turquoise. :)

    My 2017 Outback should finally arrive this weekend and if it has black rims I will ask them to replace with the chrome.

    Sorry to hear that. They should have given you a choice.  The black rims would look great with a black-rimmed tow vehicle. But, very few cars and trucks have them.

    Is there a picture on the site of an Outback with black rims? If not, sorry dealear/PV/LG - Replace those suckers NOW would be my response. Hate black rims.

    I'm surprised the dealer didn't inform Timeout about the black rims being the new Outback standard issue.
