Outside Lagun Mount

When I ordered my 2017 T@b Max S in October, I realized a couple of weeks later that I wanted the outside Lagun table mount. I called the dealer and they contacted Little Guy about having it added. When the T@b came in, there was no mount on the outside, so the dealer ordered one. When I arrived to pick up the camper the other day, the mount was not on and they were very apprehensive about adding it. Their reasoning is that there would not be enough clearance between the side of the camper and the table post and that it might rub against the side of the camper. I went ahead and told them not to do the job if they were that concerned about it.

What I would like to ask is if you have the outside mount, have you had any problems with the installation and clearance between the camper side and table post? I would also like to ask if someone (when you have the time) would post some photos of the table mounted outside, the view from under the passenger side storage, and the mount by itself (no table attached). This will help me decide if I want to do the installation myself. If any of you have installed this table bracket on your T@b, I would love to hear about your experiences. I thought I would check with you all before calling NuCamp.  Thanks, Dave

    It appears the mount needs to be braced on the inside and spaced on the outside to "do it right".

    Someone here, not too long ago someone here did an outdoor lagun table bracket with photos, [inside, and out] with measurements. I thought it was Michigan_Mike, but may be mistaken. anyone remembering, please chime in, thanks.

    One thing different for me will be to mount the bracket between the right side of the cargo storage door and the wheel well. It will be a pretty tight space to place the bracket.

    It was Michigan Mike and he found that to make the table a usable height for dining, it required changing the pedestal AND using a spacer.

    @dmerzbac, we took delivery of our 2017 sofitel last may. We were the first to post a pic or two of a factory mounted exterior Lagun base. We did not order it but have to assume it's part of the sofitel pkg. originally installed between the exterior outlets and wheel trim.several others have been posted since and it appears the exterior lagun mounts and exterior outlets are reversed in position. That is the outlets are next to the wheel trim and the lagun bracket is next to them toward the rear of the trailer. There is ample 2 x 4 bracing under the passenger seat at this point to mount the Laguna base. The base has a resin spacer plate and all does clear the trim. We installed a 2 x 4 spacer also because little boy fingers kept getting pinched as they played with the mechanism. It is not necessary. To use the table at a lower height Michigan mike did make an excellent modification on his lagun post. Here are a few pics reposted to help answer some of your questions.

    Anyone know a good source for the resin spacer block in gray?
    Preferably something you can miter and sand easily.

    Mine came with my external Lagun mount. Call Elsie in Parts at NuCampRV to ask if they still supply them.

    Yes, NuCamp sent the spacer along with the bracket to my dealer.
