Getting a T@B and have ?'s - Refrigerator

Hello, I'm upsizing from my Little Guy 6 wide to a T@B this weekend and am very excited. My wife and I have loved our little guy 6 wide for the past 3 seasons and are now ready for a T@B. I learned a lot from the little guy forum and have been reading many threads here too.  I have learned many things so far and even downloaded the 2017 manual. I expect to continue to learn a lot here and hope to even contribute down the road.

But have a decision to make tonight.

Were are trying to decide between two units with the refrigerator being the main difference. Both are three-way.  One is the Norcold 3163LGH26.  The other is the Norcold N180.3R.

My wife called the Norcold customer service in Ann Arbor, Michigan today.  They seemed to recommend the 3163 - more parts availability and thought it was reliable.  They actually didn't know much about the N180.3R (even though it is on their website).  They said the N180 is European.

Does anyone have a recommendation toward one or the other?

My second question is can you use the T@B trailer cover with the Max Air vent cover?

I think you saw my answer on FB, but I will re-post here, for documentation and search purposes.

I would suggest not getting the 3163 if at all possible for 2 reasons. First, it has been discontinued by Norcold and getting parts will become more difficult, over time. Second, the new model (180.3) provides much easier access to the burner for maintenance, through an exterior access panel. The 3163 requires you to pull the entire fridge out and that appears to be quite an ordeal.

You can read about the 180.3 here.

Agree with Jenn - The 3163 is a real pain if you need to service it. Had mine out three times. And, parts are hard to find.

I have no words of wisdom but, congrats!  We too went from a Little Guy --ours was a 5-wide--to a T@B.  Taking it out this weekend for the first time @ a Harvest Host overnight in a nearby vineyard...can't wait!

We got our Q today from Miller Trailer Sales RV. This is our second camper from the Millers and was a great experience. Please let me know if the pic is too large, if not will post interior. Ours has the sink and stove from S model above fridge.

Mod Note: Yep, over 3,000 pixels - Sorry

Lino, I see you added the Maxx Air fan, shower window and the outdoor shower. What other mods did you add on? This is a great pic, too. Keep 'em coming please! :-)

@lino, yes, we have talked and read each other's posts. Welcome to the T@B way of camping. It is different, but the same kind of good friends are here, too. Have fun!

Congrats!!! Great looking set up there! I upgraded from 5 wide Little Guy to the T@B (since upgraded to non LG or NuCamp, but love the people here and still learn). The T@B will always have a special place in my heart.

Homebodystheart- Since we could not order a brand new Q we were lucky that the Millers had two. Ours came with the Max package, shower, extra portal window, front window and brakes. Also the stove and sink are above the birch refrigerators.
We had Preston install the Maxair.
