Surge Protectors, yeah or nay

Thank you for the photos and for all the information as this really helps people who have limited experience with campers. (I am the poster child for newbies I think
Tents and tent camping gear I understand, but am at a loss when it comes to all the cool camper toys.) I prefer camping in fairly remote areas without electricity but want to be ready for the electrical hookups when available. My T@B is pretty basic with no TV, stereo, Alde, or refrigerator but I have an air conditioner and will be working on the computer sometimes so I will go with the portable unit for now and save the money for a solar system. Thanks so much, I would not of known about this at all. Personally I would think a good RV dealer would suggest this to all new owners. I ordered the external EMS-PT30C off of Amazon today. Since I have a few costly repairs already going on...due to doggy damage. I am not handy or rather feel confident to install one unit myself.2017 T@B Outback M@X-S (White/Aqua) Lil' Kupcake following Cherry on the Top 2007 GMC Envoy 4x4 ~ gail & sometimes glenn t@bs along...Maui,HI

What is the difference between these 2 products, other than price:
Sorry, rookie question I suppose. I'm still learning.

The cheaper one is just a surge protector, the other one is also a high/low voltage monitor which will save you a/c unit if there is a brown out or power failure in the campground. Worth the extra money.2020 Tiffin Open Road2020 Nissan Versa Toad

I'm leary of installing this myself; I'm not a fan of doing anything related to electrics as I'm no where near skilled to do so. Any suggestions as to who can install this for me? Home electrician or...?Light a campfire and everyone's a storyteller. ~John Geddes

Another rookie inquiry; just want to make sure I'm getting what I need.
If I install the below EMS, do I necessary need a circuit analyzer in addition?
