With a few trips completed...question and observations.

Now that I've made a few trips with my T@B, I have a question or two, and some observations.

1. Are there additional screens? I'm wondering if I need to make some. The screens that are in it are great for the big bugs, but I find mosquitos sneak through. Lots of them. :( I think I need to add a second layer of defence. Or maybe they are coming in through the A/C grill? Hmmm. Hadn't thought of that.

2. Towing is getting easier. Sometimes, for brief periods of time, I actually don't worry about it.

3. I need to mount my solar controller somewhere. It isn't supposed to be exposed to "weather" and I considered the storage compartment on the tongue. Suggestions?

I suppose that's it. I love this silly trailer. Seriously. I had questions daily from others at the campground and gave one tour.

LRey, This is how I mounted mine in the tub on frount. The mounting plate is a cutting board from Wallmart, trimmed down a bit to fit. It has been through lots of rain and snow, even one hurricane, and still works fine. Seems to provide enough weather protection for the controller.

Just returned from a week of camping, and I have info regarding @LauraRey's questions 1 and 3.

I'll update the appropriate threads when time permits, but here's the high points:

- The solar lunchbox worked great. One set-up, one take-down.

- The bugs come in around the edges of the accordion window screens. They are cute, but functionally useless. Window "hairnets" help some. We also field-tested our new homemade screen panels for use with the PahaQue awning. Results were better than expected!

We just picked up our 2018 T@b. Are the windows on ours the same?

It appears they are. At some point they flipped the orientation of the screens vs. the shades, but otherwise there's no functional difference.

We took off the grills and mouldings around the air conditioner on our trailer and found lots of places where bugs and drafts could come in. Some gaps were covered with wheather stripping and some with heavy duty tape and it made an improvement in AC operation. Less bugs too.

That is no see um net to cover the fantastic fan, cause, well nos see um can get trough regular fly screens, I also made window "socks" from no see um that have a small bungee cord that as simply wraps around the windows frame. So bugs issues. But did not found the solution for our T@G stargazer window ....yet.
