Zamp reverse polarity

If this is in fact reverse and I connect Go Power solar (I noticed the indicator lights on the panel are not lit up) will it wreck the battery? If so damage is probably already done.

I'm using an 80 watt Go Power portable solar panel and plugged it into the supplied plug in on the Tab. Should I just be using allugator clips and connecting directly to the battery?

Yes, connect directly to the battery if you do not have a Zamp.

Chan w brought this to our attention 2 years ago. Go to Amazom.com and search for "SAE reverse polarity connector." $10. I use it with my battery tender.

I learned that the reason Zamp reverses the polarity at tge plug is because they do not reclverse it at the solar controller and most solar controllers have the resversed polarity built into the controller. I thought that was an interesting little tidbit.
