Fitting a new stereo/DVD player to existing space

I started looking at different stereos to fit my T@b. I have the old model, which is 10 x 12 x 10. I know unless I get the exact same model, no other model will fit exactly right. I have 3 questions:
1. Has anyone else replaced their stock stereo and put a new one in the same location and if so, what did you get and how did you fit it?
2. How could I find the correct stereo fit kit for a replacement?

@jkjenn, Have you tried any local auto/boat stereo installation shops? That would be my starting point. If you have the dimensions, they should be able to match your current stereo with a higher quality one. Please let us know what you come up with, as I'm sure there are quite a few folks here that are looking to up-grade as well. Thanks2016 T@B MAX S-aka: WolfT@B

Jenn, have you tried Crutchfield? They have been my go-to company for a long time for car stereos. Great customer service.2017 820R Retro Toy Hauler from 2015 Tabitha T@B from 2009 Reverse LG Teardrop (but a T@Bluver at heart)

Thanks, I have. They actually have a pretty small selection for RV. Someone in the FB group suggested a plywood faceplate and I think that seems to be the best idea, so far.Ratkity said:Jenn, have you tried Crutchfield? Birch plywood cover for the existing hole (trimmed out), with hole cut in middle to fit new unit.

Should be able to use the existing 12V, speaker, and antenna wiring.Carol
