How Do I Reinstall Alde Mixing Valve That Blew Apart

While adjusting the Alde mixing valve, I guess I went too far and the valve blew apart.  I now have the knob, a spring, and a brass piece that fits the knob.  Is this fixable by myself or do I need to go to the dealer?

Assuming you didn't force anything and all you did was unscrew it to the point of disassembly, then--provided you have all the parts that came off--simply screwing it back together is probably all you need to do. At this point, it can't hurt much to give it a try!  :-)

However, I'm a little surprised there isn't a stop of some sort to prevent over-winding the valve.

Yes, I had a ll the parts and took it back to the dealer to reinstall it.  We adjusted the hot water temp while I was there and it seems better now.
