Helper for Diving Behind Back Seat

I'm guessing I'm not the only one who has bruised ribs from trying to reach over the back seat to get things from the bottom of the back storage areas.
I recently got one of these to help..

And I think it helps a lot.
We store water hoses & electric cables, etc, back there, but it's a pain trying to reach things on the bottom.  With this grabber, I was able to easily pick up a water hose or filter and lift it up without having to do "the dive".

What I like about this particular model is that it folds to a quite compact size that stores easily, such as in the passenger side shelf over the window.  It has a peg at the end which is handy for hooking under things like a hose or cable to pull it up, or something too heavy for the gripper part to lift easily.  I was able to use the gripper to pick up a water filter with a bunch of fittings attached. Maybe I could use it to set a tv antenna on top of the trailer (if we're ever in a place where we're close enough to civilization to actually make use of one).
In any case, it definitely makes at least one task less painful.

The larger metal kitchen tongs that work like scissors. Dual purpose and perfect size for the Weber Q.

We use the Soft grip at home.  Very helpful when I knock things off the back of the desk!

I dropped a screw back there yesterday, and while trying to pick it up with the grabber the screw just jumped onto the tip, as I had forgotten that it has a magnetic tip.  Very handy.

You make a good point, @rga, but in this case the under seat compartment was full of stuff that would need to be unloaded first to be able to reach back under to the inclined area further to the rear, which in itself requires a bit of contortion.  Since I could see it directly looking behind the seat, this was easier for me in this situation.
