Furrion is a viable contender albeit a more expensive wireless solution ($350-400+). Their transmitter requires a 12v connection to your T@B or wiring harness so drilling is likely plus running some wire. Their camera is also designed to be mounted high on an RV. The QuickVu ($259) camera mounts low and requires no 12v…

@robyn769 - I'm also in the process of wiring 12v power for a rearview cam. It'll mainly be used while driving, but I thought it would also be fun to use at camp from inside the trailer - which means I'll need to connect it to a constant 12v circuit (on a switch of course) instead of the license plate/tail light feed. I…
I went out to my trailer in storage today to install the camera I mentioned above https://www.costco.com/type-s-6.8%22-wide-screen-solar-powered-hd-wireless-backup-camera.product.100504814.html Sorry the pictures aren’t better. I didn’t pull the trailer out of the garage so they’re a little dark. I am super happy with how…
Here are photos of all of my modifications I made to our Tab400: 1) Changed out hand crank on the hitch lift to use a 3/4 inch socket in my battery drill to raise and lower hitch. 2) Installed wireless backup camera and wired to license plate lighting wires. 3) Bug screens over out side vents to keep wasps and mice out. 4)…
@CanyonTravelers - this has not much to do with the thead, but... you mentioned the absence of a radiator in the back. We also have a 2018 320S. I had no idea that there were radiator fins in the back until i was running some wires for a backup camera. I cut a hand hole out from behind the license plate (remind me to fix…
I doubt the mod performed did any damage to shell integrity regardless of multiple holes, even though there are layers of stuff in that portion of the roof. I took the minimalist approach with one small hole in outer shell only. See updated post above: http://tab-rv.vanillaforums.com/discussion/comment/54005/#Comment_54005…
I got my "new to me" 2014 T@B almost a year ago. First trailer ever! I was terrified of backing up. I used the hands under the steering wheel trick and I also had my RV dealer install a wireless back up camera attached to the license plate light. It's one of the best mods I've done and not very expensive. I would not say…
