Follow on question. I’ve put my trailer in storage when not preparing for a trip. It’s outside, but has a good overhead cover. It does prevent solar from working to keep the lithium battery charged (2023 tab 400, single bb 100ah lithium). I visited the trailer today. Was at about 13.6 float volts when i dropped it off five…
I believe my original AGM batteries are on their way out and need to figure out a replacement solution soon. I could get the LiTime 230ah single large battery or two smaller group 24 LiTime batteries (200ah total). Is there any advantage to running two smaller batteries in parallel vs. running the single larger battery…
Hello: The truck does not charge the lithium battery to the RV when traveling, but the battery charges when hooked up to shore power or the solar panels. We arrived at our camp spot with barely any power. I’m wondering what could be the problem? All the fuses and the 7-point plug on the vehicle seem to be good. The…
Check your WFCO model number: WF8735/P - Not for lithium batteries (charges to 80%)WF-8735LiS - Has switch for charging lithium batteriesWF8735-AD - Auto Detects for charging lithium batteries (doesn't always so you may have to fiddle with it)
one question i have is whether the nu_camp installed wiring between converter and battery is adequate to support the deep drain lithium charging amperage from this converter once it is indeed running at lithium levels. I’d think nu_camp would be all over that, but there was some chatter about the length of the runs of…
Planning on upgrading to either one or two Battleborn lithium batteries (100 - 200 Ah). I've heard that the solar charge controller in the 400 (ours is 2018 and has a "Rohs" brand controller) won't fully charge lithium batteries in the 400. Is this true? Should I invest in a new charge controller, such as a Victron?
@Dutch061 - so, this may be obvious, but does the lower voltage on the regular converter explain the incomplete charge of the lithium battery? Will the lower voltage eventually fully charge the lithium? Brad, No, it only charges the lithium batteries to about 80-90% charge level. This, however, is the recommended charge…
Anybody know any technical reason why one shouldn’t connect a Victron smart charger to a lithium battery simultaneously with the WFCO and the Victron solar charger? Trying to get around the WFCO non recognition of lithium batteries.
I'm still wrapping my head around the NuCamp ordering process. As a result of my questions, the NuCamp website is being corrected regarding the 320-S Lithium Battery Upgrade. The 320-S page has one remaining error as of this date. The Lithium Battery Upgrade still shows the TAB 400 3000W Multi-Plus inverter rather than the…
Lithium batteries have a narrow charge voltage and a different charging profile than lead acid batteries. You can use your built in converter and it *might* fully charge your lithium battery. It just won't charge as efficiently as a charger designed for lithium ion batteries. Lithium batteries can hold a charge voltage…
