I would love a 320 with a little more headroom, at least another 6 inches of length to the bed and a little more bathroom space. We sleep north-south in a twin configuration.
I'm perplexed as to using two heavy boards. The Dutchmen T@Bs use only the table to make the queen bed. Most of us leave the table home, however, and use bed slats instead. Another option is what I call "twin bed" mode. When one of my adult kids is along, we take the backrest cushions off, laying our feet on the side…
@Wrenaa, you could handle bedding like I do in my 320. I believe that is what I would do if I had the 400 Solo. I have two twin memory foam toppers, each with a fitted sheet. When hubby is along, they fit perfectly side-by-side for the large bed. When he's not along (which is the majority of the time) I stack the twins…
Good idea Dale. Our plan with our CS-S is to keep the rear half of the bed made up as a twin bed during the day and the other half maintained as a bench area, much like the area that you have exposed.
Sorry for the vague question. 2019 T@B 320-S. I don't need the large bed area, two twin beds is fine, this leaves an area in the middle open. I just wondered if any built a closet in this area?
I'm taking delivery of a 2021 Tab 400 in April. Yay! I currently have a 320. I know the bed on the 400 is roughly queen sized, but given the way it's snugged into the space, I'm wondering if my current, twin size bedding will be the best option. It doesn't look like there would be room for the bedding to drape over the bed…
With just the back bench down, no slats or table to configure a full bed size, our 320 Outback Max S is 42" wide, tight for two. We sleep in either the full bed configuration with slats, wheel to wheel, OR the twin configuration, front to back.
We have been using the trailer in "twin bed mode" but I did put the rails in to check them out and even with the spacing the bed was pretty solid. With reasonably stiff boards (mine are common pine) it may not be necessary to have a solid platform of rails.
Hi, Here is a picture of two 35 x 72 rolled up. We sleep in twin mode with about an 7-8 inch aisle way between the beds. I made my own cut so the mattress does not over hang the aisle way. We remove the table each night. Maybe these pictures will help.
