That's great @jimcenname. I'd think the only way to keep the heat out would be with an outside cover. Otherwise, the window would be allowing the heat in, and the inside shade would simply reflect the heat back into the 'inside' of the window (and no wonder it would cause the window to warp!)

When we tow our 400, we keep the windows clear so we can see through. When we're parked in the driveway in the sun, we keep the shades halfway up and the screens halfway down. It gives us some shade, some privacy and keeps the windows from cooking.
@jimcenname - how did you make your window covers?
I bought vinyl with a cotton backing at Joann's and sewed straps at each corner. I use suction cups with hooks bought at Home Depot to attached to the T@B. When I drive I remove the covers but leave the suction cups in place. The front window is easy to cover when I arrive. The back window, because it goes so high on the roof is harder. I have to start inside the T@B to get the top of the cover onto the suction cup hooks. I'd love to use a strap over the corner of the window but many of the window corners lay tight onto the T@B so a strap will not fit under.
