@Parlando, nice job in replacing the fill cover. That very short flexible hose has always been an issue for those few who have had to replace the cover/inlet.
@Bayliss. Thank you. Yes, the hot water warming up the hose made a huge difference. And cutting the PVC inside the cabinet to lengthen the reach also made the task much easier. One thing I noticed is that the pipe runs almost complete horizontal, which might account for it being so difficult to fill. I wonder if slanting it downward might allow it to fill the tank easier and faster. Any thoughts on that?
With a gravity fill, then yes a 1-degree or so angle downward should do the trick. That said, angle the trailer, by raising the side the water fill is on, and Bob’s your uncle... cheers

I have found that the reason it is so hard to fill is because the vent is right there at the top so when you push water in the air is blowing water right back out forcing water right back out the way you are trying to ush witer in. It is like trying to push water or air into the opening of a water hose! The cure for it and once you try it you will never go back is to push the water hose in farther in then where the vent is and that is not to far in. You have to use a smaller hose to do that. That way the air can come out without bring water with it. Art
@Parlando, I use a Camco water fill tube and don't overdo the water pressure while filling the tank. It works well for me (similar to using a smaller hose, as suggested by @gulfarea.) I like that I can control the flow of water and also shut off the water completely at the fill end of the hose:
@gulfarea@Bayliss. Thanks. I built my own device like the Camco water filler, and I slant the trailer. Both of those work. It still seems to take a long time to fill and either I’m there or constantly running back to check if it is filled. Not an insurmountable problem. Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it!
