A couple weeks ago at Virginia's Occoneechee State Park, near the NC border.  We enjoy this park for its beautiful woods, hiking trails, roomy layout, and only 1-1/2 hr drive from home.

A view from our T@B's window, with steps down to a picnic table at our site #16, with our grill & lounge chairs.  Lots of nice Beech trees here.  We like this setup, which gets us farther off the road & into the woods.
Hard to believe this was our first camping trip of the year, but it's been a busy one for us.  This was also our first camping trip with our new Hyundai Palisade, and it performed admirably.  It's a bit of a downsizing adjustment for us, after giving away our 20y/o Toyota Sienna van; so we may actually use the roof rack one of these days, if we take our inflatable boat, bicycles, etc.  We've been spoiled by the Sienna's cavernous space with seats flattened &/or removed, but enjoy having a new & smaller vehicle that still carries a good amount.

Late Oct at James River State Park..

Hiking along the mountain ridge to get to the river overlook..

Overlook facing NW with a view of the Tye River where it empties into the James River..

Tested out the bike rack on our new Palisade..  seems to work fine, though a bit of a close fit on sharp turns with 2 bikes, even with a long tow bar..  

Works OK, just need to avoid super sharp turns.

Cheers to another successful & enjoyable outing in one of our more remotely located state parks, though only a couple hours from our home in Chester, VA.

Snug and dry at 18F and snowing, at the kids haybarn in TN during our visit.  Gas heat with 12v Auxiliary fans worked great.

When I last checked HH didn't permit clamshells, because of the outdoor kitchen. Now they do, sort of:

You may only use your RV’s indoor cooking facilities at Host locations; the use of any outdoor cooking facilities is expressly prohibited.

Have you found that problematic?

It has never been an issue that has ever come up despite many HH’s!  That said, my UT also has a galley inside.
