My 4500 Watt 220/120 home generator takes two people to move, it is big and heavy.  No way I am taking that thing camping!

Think the best way to manage would be pairing twin 2000W units. At least you can handle and move them around separately.

A 4000W genset...you could rent it out to others nearby and charge by the Wh!

After exhaustive web research two things forced a decision. Lightweight and quiet RV use generators (there's a bunch that are well-rated) that can be 1.) adapted for propane and 2.) fit under tonneau cover (18.5" max height) left me with the super expensive and ubiquitous Honda eu2200i. The price tag hurts less knowing it's a darned good generator and only one that will fit the situation.
House is a different story. A dual fuel Wen 4500W is 1/3 the cost of adding a second Honda.

Good call @johnfconway. It's hard to argue with the Honda's performance and quietness...pricepoint notwithstanding.

My choice was Predator 3500- I watched some Youtubers I respect, but the final reason is my local ice cream truck that travels through my area. He has the 3500 on back of his truck with over 3,000 hours in use. I used my NIOSH SLM app to measure the decibel level as directed.

Here's the numbers as used with my 2019 T@B 400- The Predator 3500 is rated MAX 25 amps.

Generator with no load- 0 amps (low idle)-- 65 db @ 10 feet away.
Generator with no load except onboard charger-- 1.2 amps (Low Idle)-- 58 db @ 25 feet away.
Generator with Cool Cat set on 70* (outside temp 93*F)-8.6 to 9.4 amps(High Idle)- 63db at 25 feet
                                                                                         away. 1134 Watts total
    Generator with A/C on, ALDE Hot Water on 1KW--18.4 amps/2225 Watts-67d @25ft/55db @ 50ft.
Generator with A/C on, ALDE Hot Water on 1KW, Highpoint microwave running high for 1 minute,
                                                                                        23.8 amps/2800 Watts. 67db @ 25 ft.
The generator stays in the bed of truck when being used for boon-docking. It weighs 99lbs plus fuel.

I hope this helps anyone looking for options.

Westinghouse iGen 4500 / rated 3700 with electric start cost less than Honda 2200 and gives you all the juice you need. Runs 18 hours on 3.4 gallons of gas. If you have a truck you can just fold your cover back / open Windows to camper shell and run it while it’s in the bed. Saves the hastle of lifting it in and out. You can run cable lock to tie down loop or utility rails. I am with @Toula, I have a 3500 Predator. Buy the extended warranty and you can get a new one every year for the price of the warranty. If it falls out of your truck while driving, take the remains in and they will give you a new one. I think it's like $80.00 per year for me to get a new generator, depending on usage you wouldn't even need to change the oil... I do take better care of my stuff than to ignore that.

I should add that the price of the warranty is locked in when you buy it, so I bought 2 years for $160.00 ($80.00 per year).

The only issue I have had is the battery for the electric start crapped out, HF doesn't keep the battery in stock so I have to pull the rope 1 time to start it. I will get a replacement in the early part of 2022, pay the warranty and go another 2 years.
