Check out the famous "Red Neck Porch." There are some other threads about how to attach a tarp or whatever to the keder rails of the trailer. I use something called a "tarp tracker" that slides into the rail and you can attach things to it.
The keder rail (aluminum extrusion) that runs along the curve of the trailer roof is designed for attaching awnings. You can fabricate your own slugs to use as attachment points.
@Tilleo here’s my upgraded version of Larry’s Redneck Front Porch. I bought the 5/8 keder rope, sewed it to a tarp, used his idea of collapsible painters poles, used carabiners to tie the guy lines, used @Dalehelman ‘s idea of lag screws in place of tent stakes so I can drive them in the ground with my cordless drill.
