Visor in wash machine?

Help! My visor has become all gross from bug poo and tree droppings. I had it up all summer in one place and that really did it in, although dirty as it is it's still holding back the rain. Has anyone put it in the washing machine? I have a front loading machine.

I think you could try it on delicate. You will need to treat with waterproofing after, but it probably ly is due for a new coat, anyway.

It's totally overdue for a new coat of waterproofing, but as a testament to Pahaque's products it really is still keeping the rain at bay.

If you have room and a soft washing brush on a Long pole, you could rig the awaning and wash it down as you would the TaB.

I have the space and the brush, but I am very curious about what the washing machine can do. I am going to throw it in tonight and will report back tomorrow.

I've wondered the same about my PahaQue awning, but haven't dared try it yet. Awaiting your report!

I went ahead and washed it. I used liquid laundry soap and threw in a dishwasher tab for some extra muscle. Sadly, it looked the same when it came out of the washer, but at least it now smells fresh! Since I am a sewer by trade, I think it is time to make a new visor or two over the long winter.....
