hardwired streaming: droid to jensen

After a fair amount of trial and error, I've found a way to download movies from Netflix or Amazon Prime onto my cellphone and stream them through the Jensen television with excellent audio as well as use of the Jensen speakers, without use of the cranky bluetooth connection. NOTE THAT THIS IS IN MY MODEL YEAR 2020 T@B320.  This arrangement also charges my phone while streaming, even though the phone port is in use to stream.  I'm not sure if anyone else will think that this is worth about a hundred bucks, but it was to me.  I got tired of bluetooth connection issues and poor/jerky audio.  Photos and directions attached.

which jensen media play that you have in your rig? the cube?

I have the latest Jensen model just prior to the Cube, typical of 2020's... I'll get the model number and post later.  My guess is that this approach to bypass bluetooth would work with any Jensen with a headphone jack.

Wouldn't cable #7 go from the extractor to an audio input on the Jensen receiver and not a headphone jack which should be an output signal?  Or am I missing something?

Not sure what to call it... it is the "AUX IN" just below the AS/PS scan button and above the USB on the receiver shown above.

OK, that is an audio input, feeding signal/sound into the Jensen.

Looks just like a mini headphone jack, easy to confuse.

A true headphone jack is an audio out signal.

You did a good job getting that wired up.

Late breaking news... I got a new android from samsung A42 which does not support mirroring.  Just be careful with compatibility. Apparently older Samsung phones used something called Dex.  My tech nerd son will be fixing this glitch for me... I have LOVED using my android for Netflix etc for the last year.

Tech nerd advice:  make sure your cell phone has a "mirror screen" function.   Apparently some cheaper androids do not...
