2021 Tab 320 S Boondock Coupler Height

Hi All,
We are new here and this is the first post.
We sold our Pleasure-Way Camper van, and bought a RAV4 Adventure that can tow up to 3500lbs.

Question is:
How to find the Coupler Height for the 2021 Tab S Boondock (we plan to buy), so we can find the rise/drop for the ball mount.
We don't have a dealership closer to go measure it.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance and peace for you in the new year.

I had the same question, emailed Nucamp. Here's their response. I also checked one out at a dealer and confirmed the 21". Remember in picking a hitch to allow for some drop of rear end for load....I allowed an extra inch

"Thanks for reaching out to us with your question! Absolutely, the hitch height on the Tab 320 Boondock is 21". I hope this helps and if you have any other questions please reach out.
    Have a great day!"

@arunakula and @jcrystal, although it is an older post, you might want to take a look at the below discussion thread.  My question regarding Mike Skidmore's response is what he is specifically referring to as the "hitch" height?  Is he referring to the top of the tow vehicle's receiver opening, the top of the hitch ball, or possibly the lowest edge of the trailer tongue at the base of the coupler.  The tow vehicle has a receiver, which is where you slide in the hitch, whereas the trailer has a coupler, which rests on the hitch ball when fully engaged (i.e., hooked up for towing.)

The one I measured at the dealer was to the top of the hitch ball

can confirm 21” to top of ball -  beware lots of posts on this forum saying 19” but that is for older models. I originally set mine up for 19 based on the forum and it was obviously way too low, towed fined but looked funny

Interesting.  Didn't realize they were higher.  I've got a '19 320 Boondock, and it's 16", to the bottom of the ball (which I guess is consistent with 19" to the top of the ball?).  I have issues with you getting a number of 21" from NuCamp, but no specificity as to the location of that measurement.  WHAT is 21"?

Thanks for you comments. Would any Toyota RAV4 Adventure/Trail owners have any opinion or should we get the OEM Trailer Hitch/Receiver or after market. I know the OEM sits a bit higher as they cut a little into the bumper.

An OEM hitch install is usually better than a third party unit, as it is designed for that spec vehicle.  It also includes upgrades to the vehicle, like an oil cooler.

It's interesting to me, and a little puzzling...

...that the "Ground to top of ball" height raises 5", from 16" to 21" from the 2021 "S" to the 2021 Boondock version, whereas the overall height of the trailer only raises 4", from 92" to 96".
