What are y’all using for a fitted sheet? Will a queen have too much extra material? Seems like a “full xl” is the right dimension but very difficult to find something in that size (we are picky and do like sateen or jersey style)
We use Full sets. Both flat sheets, no fitted. That said, we just recently removed the 3" memory foam pad and are going to try just the OEM mattress. We haven't made the bed again in this new configuration so perhaps a fitted bottom Full sheet would work now. We have also cut and hemmed the blankets to fit so we don't interfere with Alde radiator along back wall and can more easily open/close galley drawers.
With a 2-inch foam topper, we are using full size sheets, fitted lower and a queen size upper sheet (has more room for two), if only a single person is using the bunk, a full size upper sheet is fine. That said, some of the fitted/custom duvet type bed covers with their own sheets works best. cheers

Yes, it is a tight fit, and the ones I have tried fit. The seam at the foot is on the top of the mattress, but enough skirt to still tuck under. I am using flannel sheets, and tired ine cotton sheet, both seem to fit. The mattress length is slightly shorter than the bed box area. cheers
