The heat source for hot water and cabin heat is the same, so that is not the problem. However, if the Alde thinks the cabin in 158F it will not engage the circulator pump and none of that heat will make it into the cabin.
Hopefully someone else can offer tips for trying to reset the thermostat.
I think it's fixed. I found on the forum where people had the same problem. Turns out under the display cover there is a thermal spring and a thermalcouple. If the components get to close it throws the thermostat off.

You have to go toe the settings menu.
Others have said that killing all power will reset the system.
I'm sure others more knowledgeable will chime in.
