Kitchen sink faucet control

Ok...I think I pretty much understand everything about my 320 after a year... except the faucet control.  Crazy number of conflicting (expert) opinions on google about the faucet direction for hot water with a side mounted control.  Control on left, center or right, the opinions just get weirder.  I'm too old to remember the right position and end up wasting water to remind myself.   Anyone else have this disability? Dear NuCamp buddies,  please share your memory aid device! Is this faucet set for hot or cold?

On the body of the faucet there are marks indicating hot and cold.  Align the handle with the appropriate mark.  The marks are easier to see when the handle is out or "ON."  The blue mark is just visible in your photo.

I know handle towards the door is on. Found out the hard way when I hooked up water and the cutting board was still covering the sink!  I now have a tiny bungee around the spout and handle to make sure it’s off.
