Light goes on and off

Good morning....Any thoughts???  (Tab 400 2021)-  The small light bar over the table truns itself on and off... Goes from all the different settings and then at times will flicker for 30 seconds or so.. how can I disconnect this unit...looks like the bulb is built with the unit..

Post up a photo.  Sounds like a defective light with a bad connection possibly.  You will probably need to remove the cover or there are probably end caps that will need to be pried off carefully and screws removed.  Once the fixture is removed you will need to check the connections to the fixture by tightening them down, etc.  

If that doesn’t remedy the problem (the fixture is probably defective) unscrew the wire nuts from the fixture and make sure you do not get the wires together as you will blow a fuse.  The black wire will be the hot wire and you can screw one of the plastic wire nuts over the end to protect it and isolate the wire until a replacement light fixture can be installed.

Since your trailer is new, contact nüCamp Warranty, and they might send you a replacement light, if the light is defective.

Mike .... I have gently pried off the fixture ( 2faced taped on)..and the wires ( black and white go behind the valence. As the pictures shows it is screwed in with a square allen then capped with wire protector... I think I need to somehow get at this screw then cap wire- black one as you suggested???

The square head bolts use "Robertson" square head drivers. You will find them everywhere in the trailer, so when you put your tool kit together, you should get the #1, #2 and #3 sized.  If you have a set of "drill bits" that will fit in a power drill, ("hex bits") look closely and you may already have a set.

I bet an Allen key will fit in there, too.

No, an Allen key is not going to fit in a Robertson screw head.  The latter is four sided, wire an Allen key, or hex key is six sided.

So... did you fix the issue (and if so, how)? Or did you just disconnect the light for the time being as per your original post?

Scott,.  I just disconnected the light for now..IAM in touch with Creed at NuCamp for a new light..
I needed a little right angle ratchet with #2 square bit...(auto parts store)  But it worked!!

Sounds good. The problem sounds to me like it is almost certainly in the switch/circuit board of the light itself, so a complete replacement of the device is the only realistic fix.
