2022 Tab 400 Mixer Valve

Hi I don't see the same mixer valve in the 22 that I had in the 19. This looks like a mixer valve. Has to be it. Anyone know how to change the temp with this one. The red cap on top just turns freely and doesn't seem to be adjusting the valve position.

It has changed and yes that is the mixing valve. Our 2021 has the older looking one. This one was added sometime in 2021.
Here you go.

Thanks so much for the quick reply! I'm getting really spoiled (already was) with the super fast responses I get on here....its especially helpful when I'm in the camper trying to figure things out! I tried to search first but didn't know to call it by its fancy name.

Here is the information that was posted when this was released.

I've been unable to turn this valve in either direction. Has anyone adjusted the water temp on theirs? I've tried sockets, adjustable wrench, plyers. It won't budge! I'm anticipating it will need to be raised to suit me...maybe not but I would like to have the option.

You are supposed to be able to turn the valve with the red cap, after you take it off. Turn the cap upside down, and it is a knob to turn the valve with. Try to push on the valve whilst you turn the valve.

I tried the red cap first several times but I didn't try pushing down. I will try that.

I'm realizing the head of the adjustment bolt is stripped that's why I can't get a hold on it to turn it. I've sent an email to my dealer to ask if they typically adjust it. If they say no, I will email nucamp. I've requested a replacement valve or just the hex insert piece if that comes out.
Hopefully this means the temp was raised but could go either way! -

Any idea how these hose clamps come off???? I don't recognize them. I'm hoping I can switch it out myself.

Press each of the white plastic friction retaining rings (right next to the brass body) toward the center of the mixing valve and the pex pipes will slide out. The retainers should move with just a little effort and should not require any tools. Do not mess with the metal rings. Those a Pex crimp rings and would need to be redone with new rings if they are removed.2021 T@B 400 BD, 2021 Lexus GX 460, Kansas City MO

Thanks rhyno!! I was feeling very anxious and depressed about having to replace this and undo all the clamps etc! I feel better now. Still bummed it's messed up in the first place! I will wait to see if the water is hot enough for me before replacing but it makes me crazy still. I seriously have OCD when it comes to stuff like this!! UGH!
What about the white hose at the bottom that doesn't have the black fittings? -
Oh I see it also has a white plastic fitting like the other two.
-
We have a 2022 400 BD as well and we also had to adjust the valve to get the water hot enough. I believe they ship it in the coldest setting. Ours was not stripped though - that sucks. Wonder how that happened - inexperienced crew at the dealership?
-
I'm thinking inexperienced crew at Nucamp. It's a brand new product. My dealership said they don't mess with it. It looks like they used a power tool on it. Was it easy for you to adjust it? How did you do it? The dealer is having a new one shipped to me under warranty but still!
Did you have to loosen the coupler below the hex nut piece first or where you able to just turn the hex nut right away? Once the new one arrives I should be able to see how it works. -
The hex nut should turn without needing to loosen anything else.2021 T@B 400 BD, 2021 Lexus GX 460, Kansas City MO

Thanks rhyno. I see that in the install instructions posted above but I began to doubt things when my dealer said I had to loosen the coupler before trying to turn the hex.
-
Second that. It was pretty easy to turn
-
New valve installed. Went toooo easy and yes so easy to adjust it when it hasn't been tightened and stripped with a power tool!!! Didn't even take 5 minutes! Can't see how just tugging on the fitting after you insert it will make for a water tight connection. We will see when I'm able to run water in it. Old one came off just as easy so must work!!!???
