Anyone Know Where Fuse is Located for 12 Volt Fridge Cooling Fan?

I'm continuing to trouble shoot my fridge issue and I haven't received any responses so far so decided to ask a more specific question. My dealer suggested i check the fuse for the little 12 volt cooling fan that cools the coils in the top outer vent compartment. I thought I saw somewhere these fuses are on the fridge somewhere and not in the fuse box.

This is my original post. Is the thermostat the little thing clipped onto the fins. I checked that and it's good.

Fortunately I was able to get an appointment next Monday to get the fridge looked at. Major hassle and about a 40 mile drive by I'm thankful to be able to get in quickly.

Since your TaB is still under warranty, that is a good option to take.Cheers2018 TaB400 Custom Boondock, Jeep Gladiator truck, Northern California Coast.

I'm handy to a certain degree and I can of course change a fuse.....if I know where to look. It's just such a hassle to take it in for service but super relieved to be able to get a quick appointment.

Yes, but there was another new TaB400 owner that had a similar issue, and it was a faulty fridge, not a fuse. Good to get it completely checked out to make sure. Small vent fans do not nor have their own inline fuse, but are fused at the power source. Not sure about the TaB400s 3-way fridge? If the fan has a fuse, I find it odd it would blow on a new fridge unit, unless there is a short somewhere..Cheers2018 TaB400 Custom Boondock, Jeep Gladiator truck, Northern California Coast.

All good points Denny and informative on the fuses. This might be one of the reasons they changed the fridge to a different model shortly after I took delivery of mine. Maybe there were alot of issues with this model (Norcold 4101) I've got to pay for the repairs upfront and get reimbursed so hoping I don't need a whole different fridge. Depending on what they find I might not want the same one again so I would have to consult with Nucamp if that happens. So much for my memorial day reservations.

Assuming this is a N4104 (google doesn't bring up a 4101) the fan is simply parallel to the low power 12V connection at the control module. 12V+ to a 1A inline fuse to a thermoswitch to the fan and back to ground. All this stuff is on the backside of the fridge so it has to come out.

Oh yes! 4104. Thanks Grumpy G, yea nothing accessible really and way beyond my skill level!

Thanks Grumpy, good to know there is a fuse and where it is located. Thanks.
Still, in normal operation, this fuse is not likely to blow, unless something else is wrong, causing an overload or short.
