Keeping the shower curtain clean and mildew free?

Last weekend we used the shower in our T@B 400 BD for the first time, for the drive home we kept it spread around the bath as much as we could, and once we got home we took it home with us and hung it over the shower curtain rod in one of our bathrooms to finish drying.

Is there anything else we should do to it?  Run it through the washer / dryer, just let it hang until it's dried all the way off, anything?

And, if you use your shower on the road, do you make (if possible) a clothesline to hang it on to dry between uses, or do you leave the bath fan on and the door open, or do you just get it out of the way and hang it to dry when you get home?

We leave the curtain in the shower, spread it back, open and run the fan in reverse mode to dry the curtain out.  We have done this for several, years, and no mildew or mold issues.  Curtain drys in about 15 min or so, in most situations.

@Denny16 there's a reverse mode for the wet bath fan?  What sorcery is this!  Going to figure this one out when we winterize in a couple weeks, thank you!

@Jay_and_Kat, If you have the original square shower fan, the vent knob redirects the air from being pulled out, to some of it being blown back in, which helps dry the shower area.  If you have the new round exhaust fan, alas, no reverse air flow.

For newer TaBs with the round exhaust fan, opening the washroom door, and having a window or two open in the TaB, run the exhaust fan in the shower to pull air in from the trailer via the door.  This should help to dry the shower out also.

Every other trip we remove the curtain and soak it over night in bleach, then wash and air dry.  Wife wishes nuCamp offered other colors than white.

We keep our shower curtain like new by never taking showers in the trailer. 😏

We have a pull out clothesline in the bath. I lay the curtain over it to keep it off the floor and run the bath fan. I use a chunk of pool noodle to prop the door open. We always have the kitchen window open at least a crack and turn off the main fan but leave the lid slightly open to allow incoming air. No mold yet.  B)

That is pretty much the procedure I use, no mildew here either.
keeping everything dry and good air circulation will prevent mildew from taking hold.
