2021 Tab400 BD Steady Drip Under The Trailer. Unknown.

Hi all! We’re camping this weekend and noticed this constant drip here. We’re boondocking now. Nautilus system knobs are in the right order. After filling up the fresh and settling down, after dinner we noticed this wet area under the camper! Odd. What’s this drain and what is this dripping mean?

We need to know the year of the trailer.
But....is that water under the trailer?  Or glycol from the Alde?
Down in the Alde compartment, look for the black plug in the floor.  There will be a couple of clear tubes that may be filled with glycol.  You may have an air block in your glycol system, and the Alde is letting the pressure release by letting the glycol out of those tubes.
Look over this thread: the year is different, but the concept is the same.

Looks to me like the fresh water tank overflow. If it stopped after your first day, that is likely it. I noticed mine did this during an overfill at home, and then a little at the camp site (different angle / level?). It stopped after some water usage.

What does the 2021 400 fresh water overflow exit tube look like?  Where is it located?

It depends on what is coming out of that tube.  Either water or glycol can come out of that.  It is not the fresh water tank overflow or the low point drains.  There are two clear lines that go into that tube from inside the Alde compartment.  One is tapped into the hot water line for the Flow and one is for the hot water line for the Alde itself.  They are tapped into the hot water outflows for those units.  I assume it is some sort of overflow/pressure relief set up?  So if water is dumping out of that there is an issue with the hot water.  If it is water I would drain the hotwater from the trailer, lines and Alde, and then fill it up again, bring it to temp and see what happens.  Hopefully it was just a one time thing or it simply may be the valve in the white plastic fitting. That would just mean replacing the fitting. However if it happens again I would call Truma or NuCamp and see what caused those overflows to dump water.  If it is that fitting have them just send you a replacement.  Also look inside when it is happening to see if it is coming from the flow or the Alde itself or both.  The clear lines should allow you to determine this.

There is also a black line that feeds into it.  It comes off of the automatic bleeder valve for the glycol.  So if you have glycol coming out of that then maybe you have some air in the lines or you have too much glycol in your system.  Check your glycol level at the overflow tank and also check your bleeder valves for air.

Here is a pic of the lines inside the compartment.  You can see the two clear lines from the hotwater system and the black line from the auto bleeder all feeding down to the exit point in the floor of the trailer.

@Sharon_is_SAM on the 2021 the fresh water overflow is a visible blue pex line, almost flush with the bottom of the trailer, that empties out the bottom of the trailer just behind the driver side wheel.  Sorry I dont't have a pic of it.

Those clear tubes coming from the Alde and Flow, are vent tubes, that allow air back into the hot water tanks as they are drained, they can leak water in a overfilled or overpressure situation, black tube is the glycol air bleed line.

That may have something to do with the Alde propane furnace. The furnace vent is just to the rear of the Nautilis panel. I have noticed some drainage in that same area when the furnace first starts on a cold morning. Maybe it’s condensate, maybe it’s temporary water overflow? It seems to go away after a while.
