If it's the old-style fan that sounds like an airplane propeller spinning, change the switch out, I used a toggle switch as a replacement. The switch that was originally installed is prone to failure. Not long after I changed the switch out the fan blade came off the spindle and I had to glue it back on, eventually I the dealer change out the entire fan under warranty.
@Sydmargo, assuming you also have a ceiling fan in the main cabin area, is it working? If not, maybe the fuse blew there and (assuming the two fans are on the same circuit), that would prevent power from flowing to the bathroom fan.
Our circular Maxxfan had an issue where the button wouldn’t stay depressed. It kind of fixed itself after I pulled it out and apparently did something to get it to work. Not sure if that’s your issue.
Same thing happened to our daughter's 400. New switch fixed the glitch. You can test if its the switch by jumping a wire between the terminals on the switch. If doing so causes the fan to run (watch your fingers), then its the switch.
