I realize this may be a silly question to ask, but I have terminal analysis paralysis.
I just put new tires on my trailer. My trailer lives on the south side of my house and, as such, is subject to sunlight (when it is present, hello Seattle!!!). I want to protect my new tire investment and put covers on them.
What features should I look for (or avoid) in tire covers? I have never bought these before and there are way too many choices out there. And, yes, I did search the forum, but mostly got "matches" that did not actually address my question.
Thanks from Seattle (where it is currently cloudy--go figure!).

cheers
I've seen the plywood thing around here, as well as covers. I always wondered why people put plywood in front of their tires -- for a long time I thought maybe they were concerned about neighborhood dogs "marking" their RV.

I notice this model does not have any sort of strap or connection on the back. Do they stay on well?

In the winter, I put them both on and also cover the trailer. In camping season, I just put the tire cover on the one side the sun hits it. My neighbors noticed their trailer tire that had sun hitting it was faded after a few months, compared to the other one.
There is a chart you can match up your tire size. It's loose fitting and touches the ground slightly, easy to slip over the tire. I get some high winds in winter and they stayed on just fine. I did put mouse traps next to the tires, on the inside, in case some mouse thought the cover would make a nice home (and I caught a couple)!
