Wax on solar panels?

We're planning on giving the T@B its first wash and wax, and are wondering if there are any issues with coating the solar panel with wax.

You only need to wash them with a mild detergent. No wax.

While I have no specific knowledge, it seems reasonable that
any
coating
on your solar panel (no matter how clear it may appear) will likely diminish the performance of the panels to some degree.
