Wax on solar panels?

We're planning on giving the T@B its first wash and wax, and are wondering if there are any issues with coating the solar panel with wax.

    You only need to wash them with a mild detergent.  No wax.

    While I have no specific knowledge, it seems reasonable that any coating on your solar panel (no matter how clear it may appear) will likely diminish the performance of the panels to some degree.

    @FriendsofMario, I agree with the above comments.  If you want to apply a protective coating, it is recommended that you use a Hydrophobic solar panel coating and cleaner.  They sell it on Amazon.

    Thanks for the replies.  As past experience with our Sunline has shown, sooner or later we’ll unintentionally do something dumb to our 400 - want to try to make it later than sooner.
