In regards to changing tires, my car has a sissors jack. I thought I read somewhere that you shouldn't use this on the camper. If so, what are people bringing along just in case...

The only thing I can think of is that a scissors jack (or any other small jack) might be unstable if the T@B is only balancing on one wheel and the tongue caster.
The T@B describes an elaborate tire change ritual that involves the tongue jack and the rear stabilizers. Personally, I'd go with the scissors jack (under the frame behind the wheel, not under the axle) but now that you've raised the issue, I might do so with a solid block under the tongue jack in place of the roly-poly caster.

Would that be a good use of the wheel dock, to stabilize the caster wheel?

Yes, the wheel dock would probably serve much the same purpose.
Either way, I would use extreme caution using a small-footprint jack under this trailer. If you are at all in doubt, the method described in the manual seems more stable to me. Also, remember that in no case should you crawl under a vehicle that is only supported by a jack!
Chech your scissor jack before you need it to make sure it is tall enough to jack the T@B up. I ended up giving one to Goodwill because it was too short and was therefore of no use to me.

Not 10 of them! I don't know why my Uncle has such a short scissor jack, but I'm sure someone else is using it now. Maybe it was for a lawn mower or a motorcycle....

Not for my motorcycle! 750 lbs of unsteady bike on a short jack.. yikes! *deep breath... brreeeeeeeathe* LOL. Lawn mower it is.. or go-cart, or tricycle. 10 Legos? *gasp, fans self*

Mopar and AEV sell a jack base booster for Wranglers, which would probably work with other brands, too.

I'll stick with AAA/RV first and then, if I have to, my 8 ton bottle jack that is tall enough!
Yep, Good Sam will be my go to. Unfortunately, if there is a blowout, it is not just a simple put on the spare, most likely your trailer will need to be towed on a flatbed as the inside wheel well and the bench on that side will be destroyed.
I use a bottle jack, then a jack stand, then lower the stabilizer jacks on the trailer, and make sure both sides of the other tire are chocked. Overkill? Maybe, but overkill is better than me-kill.
As for insurance, I have Progressive, but I've never used it. Agent says they would haul it, but hope I never have to find out.
