Verna - I wouldn't have chosen the "leather" look if I had to pay extra for it, but it does strike me as easily cleanable.  I have a seven-year old and a dog.  That seems important somehow.

It is very important with an almost 7 year old dog, a Shih Tzu, who drags a lot of sand inside from my winters in the Southwest. Very easy to clean, and there is no pattern to try to decorate around (not my strongest of abilities).

A little bit of color coordination, a reminder of my roots, and the ability to watching the IU men's basketball games while in the Southwest for winter and must have enough solar panels to charge the batteries.
