Are the brakes on a 2015 t@b CS-S self adjusting ?

Don't think so - At least I've had the impression that my 2015 will need adjustment at some point. In fact I was thinking that mine need a little adjustment now.

Nope. If I recall correctly, the adjusting procedure is covered in the AL-KO axle manual that should have come with your T@B.

Manuals - Who keeps manuals? ... Actually I do but they're buryed too deep to get at :-(

Anyone whose maintained a classic VW beetle will be able to adjust the T@B's electric brakes, no problem

The gist of it is, rotate the star adjusters on the back of the brake drum inward, while rotating the wheel (it must be raised up), until the friction begins to stop the rotation. Then, adjust it back until you hear a slight scraping noise that doesn't slow the wheel down. Done!
Of course you should follow their procedure to find out the direction of rotation of these stars, etc. But you'll spend more time jacking up each wheel than actually performing the adjustment.

You lost me at "star adjusters" - Sure there's a YouTube VW video somewhere though.

Thanks - No tools on road so will have the pros do it. Was just being a smart alec :-)

All ya need is a flat head screwdriver, and a way to lift up the tire. Hehe, If you don't have one we um, ehem, need to have a discussion on what tools to carry

Speaking of manuals, the new one for the 2017 T@B clearly states that the camper is not intended for full-time occupancy.
Sorry PXL, you need to pack it up right now. It just can't be done. Says so right there in the instructions...

See, that's why I never pay attention to manuals.

IMHO, Whoever wrote the manual probably never lived in it part-time, much less full-time. You go PXL!
By the way, I have a spare flat head screwdriver if 'ya need one!
Oh, and by the way, I'll even put a bend in it for 'ya to help with the adjustment!

I just repacked the bearings on our 2015, but the brakes did not need adjustment. I highly recommend jacking up the T@B using the stabilizer method and checking the wheel for play and while you're at it, you can rotate and see if the brakes are just slightly scraping as it rotates.
