Well, I guessed wrong and requested time off for the same week as 2016, so we will have to wait until next year when we are retired.  We won't have anyone telling us when we can vacation!

I trust Solarites will be basking in the sun and a swarm of generators humming by day 5.
What is the 7-AMP service used for?

@TabberJohn, it'll be like wintering in Arizona with most of my time is spent without electric. Put out the solar panels, keep the one rechargeable O2 fan charged, put batteries in the other O2 fans and maybe I'll get the Fantadtic Fan finally changed oh to be the 10 speed model. I've done it before in high humidity and high temps and I'll do it again. 

And it could be like 2014 at Tearstock in August when it was in 40's at night, upper 50's, lower 60's during the day and I had all shorts, one long sleeve shirt (lots of shorts sleeved shirts) and one sweatshirt. We all huddled around the Little Red Campfire at night!

How do you get 7amp service? I thought it was either 15 or 20 amp breakers? Do you use a 20 amp plug adaptor? I bet if someone buys a bunch, they'd be rich!!

Maybe it's a typo and they meant Z-AMP service as long as the sun is shining.

I've not solar or a generator, and am not planning to invest in them for this one trip.  What I do have are three deep cell batteries sitting around, so I plan to take them with me and just switch off.

It is not be enough amps to run anything except maybe a small fan--check the amperage on any electrical fans you'll be bringing.  It will not be enough for air conditioning (A/C), microwave, hair dryer, toaster oven, toaster, etc.

It's an adventure, Eric. I love adventures.

I have a wonderful O2 fan that has 3 choices for powering it and it decides which is most economical: batteries, rechargeable batteries or being plugged into a USB port that also recharges the internal batteries. It is wonderful!  I may get another one of them as they are investments into camping in AZ. 

I use solar power power for most of the winter, so using solar is easy for me. Conserving battery and energy is also second nature to me. I am the most economical of 100 houses of the approximate same size in my area. 

Everyone will be having fun and from the looks of the satellite images, there are lots of trees to sit under.

YaHoo, There will be Boon-Dockin' virgins for your amusement!  Just want the right plug to take advantage of all 7 amps.  Don't travel with any of those small appliances mentioned by Verna, but I do love a fan.
