Winterizing Issue?

Forgot to include this shot of how I keep the trap door open while winterizing the pump.  I put a small screw-eye in the wall (there is sturdy plywood there) with a 1.5" metal ring close to where the finger-handle on the open door is located, so it's easy to latch & unlatch.  A piece of string or wire would work too, but I had this nice looking ring left over from the hub of an old computer hard drive I took apart.  Had to bend the handle slightly to give it a bit more of a hook so it wouldn't easily slip off.  I put some caulk on the threads of the screw before screwing it into the predrilled hole in the wall, to keep water from getting into the wood.

Hey, that would work a lot better than propping it on top of my head!

Doctor to patient..."on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the greatest, what's your current @ScottGWinterization Worry pain level???  A 10 you say, I recommend you sell your camper each fall and purchase a new one in the spring"    =)  This forum is awesome!
