Under sink round cabinet latches won’t stay closed

anyone having trouble with the two part latches staying locked or closed during driving? Mine wiggle open yet stay locked.waiting for factory to tell me a solution. I see they changed it to a one piece latch, which leads me to believe they see a problem. Still under warranty. Aluminum is rubbing white wood to black. I put blue tape on cabinets before I drive, not a fix

@Drewcarrie, what kind of T@B do you have, please? It will make it easier to answer.

From @Drewcarrie's profile photo, it looks like a 400. Your door might need a slight adjustment. Have you reached out to your dealer?

Thanks, @jkjenn—I didn’t see the profile photo earlier.

@Drewcarrie, your first contact should be the dealer, and they will reach out to the factory if needed. The one year warranty from your date of purchase is a great deal and it is honored.

@Drewcarrie, can you post a picture of the latch? I don't have that type of hardware but have adjusted a few doors. I might have a suggestion if I knew exactly what we were dealing with.

We had to have our doors replaced due to cracking on the front of the door (mostly on the side without the handle). After I installed the new doors, they would not stay properly latched despite making adjustments to the door hinges.  Upon further inspection, I noticed that the door with the handle was constructed slightly differently than my original dooor; the handle was placed farther away from the edge of the door and this just made the system too slack.  I ended up not replacing that door and the system seems snug.  Hope that helps.

I had the same problem.  Spent a good hour tweaking and adjusting these cabinets and came to the conclusion that I could either make it look right and deal with the doors not latching correctly or have unaligned but latching doors.  That's where I am right now...functional but not pretty.  These European style hinges have many degrees of adjust-ability so I'm guessing you just need to tweak until the latches work.  There's probably plenty of youtube videos if you're not familiar with that style of hinge or just have the dealer take care of it.  I really think NuCamp needs to rethink this cabinet design a bit.

T@b 400. I didn’t get a stripe. Went to dealer and they made it out of alignment. I restore houses so I do all the warranty work from now on. Dealer is somewhat not into details... they work on those cheap trailers a lot and are not qualified to be a t@b dealer. I’ve tweaked the cabs twice to see if I can do better. Hinges are easy. I have the two rod system compared to their new one rod style that came out this year. The curved latch feet move when button is pushed in to lock. Waiting for two weeks for nucamp to get back to me on THIS problem. They’ve been helpful on other problems so far yes. Just wondering if anyone else has luck from nucamp on fixing the staying closed part. Did they send new door and does the one bar style work better? I could relocate the pins that the feet are supposed to wrap around, not guaranteed to be the fix

If it were me I'd probably cut my losses and just replace the latches with something more substantial. Who knows, maybe nuCamp will even comp you the improved hardware.

If you restore houses I suspect your skills and patience far exceed the majority of most RV service techs.

@Drewcarrie, please contact nüCamp again at warranty@nucamprv.com. The departments are required a certain timeframe to get back to you, whether email or phone call, and it is certainly a lot less than 2 weeks.
