I need advice from experienced T@Bbers (everyone reading this forum has more experience than this newbie). Where do you fill your water tanks? I read about folks who stop overnight at Walmart or similar facilities, and I wonder where you fill your tanks for such dry-docking. Do you usually travel with a full clean water tank?
Is is there an app for water fill-up stations?

Once away from home parks may have water (in season) and some travel centers. I think historically Flying J's maybe catered to the RV traveler a bit more, not to say others don't sometimes have water fills too. Many stores, Wal-Mart and others have a water machine, I have been known to buy it by the five gallon bucket, not convenient or cheap but it works in a pinch.
Cheryl, I suspect some people who are going to travel a short distance fill their water tank at home or local facility and drive slowly to their destination. I noticed you posted to your own Wall and see you have a 400. Having said that, most people are cautious about tongue weight and fresh water and/or gray/black tank weight can be significant. Depending on where you travel, you can locate a fresh water source and a dump source. There are many apps or online web sources for campgrounds, BLM, State and Federal resources etc. When we traveled to Utah this past spring, we read about a local gas station that allowed filling (free with fuel fill up). This was important as we camped at a local BLM site with no water available. Many others will camp at full or limited campgrounds that have water available to them and may not travel with their tanks full. Others may choose to just take some drinking water with them or just enough water in their fresh tank to flush the toilet. It really depends on how you plan to travel.
You can fill up at campgrounds along the way that have potable water hoses. There may be a charge, though.
