Hi T@Bers,
I've just returned from my epic adventure with the 2013 T@B MAX-U, I christened the Silver Pearl, named after my faithful pup who followed me everywhere. The Pearl was a wonderful little home that could follow at 75 mph or over rough roads (slowly). The LG company sent me an Owners Manual which did not come with the camper in a timely manner. Yes, you do have to be a bit handy, but its easy.
Some issues:
1. The plastic housing cover for the gas bottle/battery cracking and flying off--is that under warranty?
2. The Carbon Monoxide alarm was wired in and went off one night. Gas was off at the bottle. No instructions on how to disengage it so it was ripped out.
3. The biggest issue was the refrigerator which I could not get to work either of the 3 ways--that was stressful. After taking to certified Norcold mechanic in Texas, he discovered the unit had burned up because it was installed improperly (there were others that had not vented properly). Norcold shipped out a new one and the mechanic had to creatively vent it -- all under warranty! Now all is good.
The Pearl was comfortable, handy and safe in the storms. The only other issue (a good one if you're friendly) is that the T@B's are friend-makers; everywhere at campgrounds to gas stations, everyone wants to be your friend, have a tour, ask how much, where to buy, so the Little Guy company should put out a training manual for us owners!
Looking forward to taking the Pearl to Yellowstone this summer!

Good job.
Yellowstone, we are going there mid September. Can't wait. We have a number of shorter trips prior to September to keep us entertained. -
You can't go anywhere with a T@B without attracting attention. We should charge for tours :-)
-
The 5 cent tour is when I have just pulled into a campsite or I just got up and am not ready to meet people. The quarter tour is after I've had my morning Coca Cola and am awake and ready for company. (No, I really don't charge, but some people who are patient get a better tour than those who must see NOW!)
I refuse to open up for tours at a gas station. It causes too much confusion and too many people want to see it at the same time.Verna, Columbus, IN

My wife put together a manual based on our experiences and her very intense research as the owner's manual from LG is quite incomplete. Go to the tab technical area and you can download it. My wife is a very accomplished electrical engineer and knows her stuff.

I must also say that our T@B is a 2014 Max S

WyoLiz?
Is that a Bretz sticker on the front? -
I had a similar thing happen with the CO detector and found that it was fumes from cleaning products. I guess the sensor isn't very specific on the volatiles that it senses. A quick airing of the T@B and no more problems.WyoLiz said:...

I have problems with the smoke detector / fire alarm going off when cooking inside if there's any amount of heat/steam or smoke from frying. If it's not too cold out I open the front window a bit but when I can't do that I cover the alarm with a Tupperware bowl and that seems to keep it silent.

The alarm will go off if something is in front of it, blocking it.WyoLiz said:2. The Carbon Monoxide alarm was wired in and went off one night. Gas was off at the bottle. No instructions on how to disengage it so it was ripped out.

The carbon monoxide sensor is rather sensitive, as it should be. I set mine off once by spraying foot powder into my shoes. Since then, I've done that job outside. The smoke detector is also kinda sensitive. I had to remove the battery one night to shut it up. Just have to be careful.

Baaaaacoooon - Extra crispy - Yummy
Put a Tupperware bowl over it when cooking bacon. Works for me anyway. -

Just trying to get rid of the little annoyances in my life...
Next up - I find the T@B lights too bright and too white.
:-) -
I made a simple cover for that darn radio/DVD player blue light to use at night. It is so bright you can almost read by it at night.
-
That's one annoyance I don't have, didn't get the entertainment package. You'd think they'd have a switch on that thing to turn it off.
-
On the newer 2015 entertainment systems you can dim the display and I even think you can turn it completely off.Martin - Trailer name: James T@Berius Kirk

Looked at my book for 2015 and could not find how to dim/turn off the blue lights. Can you explain?Scott, Orange Park, Florida...2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara... 2015 T@B S Maxx "Buttercup".

I was premature in my previous post. Turn on, press volume knob until light setting appears. Set at 1, 2 or 3. Don't see an off setting but low seems much lower that high setting.Scott, Orange Park, Florida...2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara... 2015 T@B S Maxx "Buttercup".

Thanks
I've had this affliction since I was a child building countless models, I never look at directions/instructions unless I'm stumped. Oh well, I have made it this far
-
I'll bet I have not read instructions longer than you have not read them. The only reason I read them this time was that I realized that I had asked others to read them for me. And I wanted to dim the blue beacon.Scott, Orange Park, Florida...2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara... 2015 T@B S Maxx "Buttercup".

You should only read them when all else fails

I'll 3rd that. -
I just added a switch to turn off the power to the entertainment system on my '06. just switch on when I want it.
-
The Carbon Monoxide detector will often chirp when battery power is low. This is a safety precaution.
I have been awoken many a night when the furnace blower (on my class B van) runs the house battery down and the chirp begins.

Mine too. I just removed the battery. The steam from the shower sets it off too.Rad said:
