Newbie here.  Why is the fan in the breaker box on (blowing cool air) when I have the heating system off

The fan is a cooling fan for the electronics in the breaker box (a.k.a. the converter). It comes on automatically when needed and has nothing to do with whether you have the heat on or off.
I've noticed that mine tends to run when I first plug the camper in to shore power, or when it's charging the battery. It shouldn't be running constantly however. Is that what yours is doing?

@aprille4, your Alde system heats via the fins under your bench and behind the rear wall.  There is no fan involved.  Ditto what Scott said regarding the converter fan.
