T@b 400 AC question

Just checking to see where I can find documentation from Nucamp recommending the windows being cracked when using the AC.  I know they recommend ventilation when using the heat. I  open the roof vent an inch or two.

This was discussed during the Q&A session at Nucamp 18.  Their recommendation at that time was to have window cracked at all times.  We usually do with no issue.

Thanks, good to know.  I always keep the roof vent open.  Will need to decide which window to leave cracked.

I know it was mentioned in the uCamp Q&A: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oss0U3xejjA&t=1635s

@BigGrover ; I understand opening windows before A/C to lower cabin temperature near ambient. Thereafter, I'm still not sure why it would make sense to tax the A/C, or allow humid air entry into the cabin, or attempt to cool the campground with a less than 100% efficient system, thus having the inverse effect. There must be a good reason.  Would we also help keep the fridge cooler in summer by leaving the fridge door open a little?  Maybe there's some reason besides standard thermal engineering prompting the recommendations for windows and/or vents being cracked. VOC off-gassing or other concerns?  Something unique about the HVAC designs used on the 320 and 400s?

Anyone know the real reason, if it's in some documentation or Q&A response?

P.S.  This reminds me of all the data we received from @CincyKid last June.  Six sigma, smoke tests, deflector design, fan vs. A/C cooling rates, etc.  An HVAC specialist like @irvingj could probably tell us whether we're better off with 0, 1, 2, 3 windows cracked and why.

I have not found the nuCamp recommendation on the uCamp video (yet), but I found a recommendation from Verna along the same lines.  I suspect this helps air flow.  So, after running the roof fan to exhaust the cabin of hot air, she turns off the roof fan, but leaves it partially open and cracks a window.

“Open one side window (the non-sunny side) to the first open position (open about 1” or so), and lock into this open position. Then open the roof vent about 2”, and do not turn the fan on.

See if this helps cool the T@B better.

This is how I cool my T@B cool enough for my dog who hates getting hot.”

DougH it is counter intuitive.  That's why I asked after I saw the post about the recommendation!

In the video, they started with the question of condensation, air flow with both heat and AC and Creed said to keep windows cracked, then about 2:45 in, someone asked for clarification for AC too? And he said yes, keep windows cracked for AC for air circulation.
