Replacing Cool Cat with portable AC

We have a 2011 T@B and the A/C has died.  I am wondering if anyone has used a portable AC unit like a HiSense in your trailer?   thought being we convert the current AC space to storage and only bring the AC unit when needed.  Before we do I was looking for any feedback on a portable AC unit to replace.  Thanks!

Hi I have a 2012 T@B and my AC is on the blitz.....also considering options including portable AC and roof top mount.

The roof will not support the weight of an AC unit.

@mguenette and @Luitjens, in the upper right hand corner of this page is the search box. Search for “DM T@B A/C” as in Dutchman T@B Air Conditioning. I went through the first 5 pages and didn’t find what I remember. I figure you two can find some interesting info on your DM T@B’s in the process of searching. 

As I recall, someone with a DM T@B did use a window unit on the floor in the place of the Cool Cat, and it worked very well. 

It could be that @Mouseketab and @rfuss might check in (they own DM T@B’s) and they might be able to narrow your search.

I still have my original CoolCat. Still running great (2007)
