Is the problem at the pedestal or in your T@B? Does your surge protector or power cable have an indicator to show if power is flowing.
If the problem is at the pedestal than it is a campground issue--probably a tripped breaker at some distribution panel upstream from your campsite. You will need to alert staff at the office so they can investigate.

If the pedestal works, have you checked the main breaker in your breaker box?

Do you have lights on your power cord ? it will light up at the camper end to see if you have power to the camper . Surge protector , and cord light should tell you if there is power at the pedestal. If those are both good , start checking the breakers in the camper converter box .
We lost power overnight in Acadia last week and because of the surge protector lights and our power cord light, we were quickly able to determine that it was a campground power problem , and not our T@B . They just had to reset a breaker , but they wouldn't have known if we didn't inform them.

The pedestal works, surge protector is showing the appropriate lights and none of the breakers is tripped

Red light on the power cord  at the camper end "on" ?
Is your battery switch turned "on" ? This wont effect A/C powered appliances, but it fools a lot of people because 95% of everything in the camper is 12v powered .

Your surge protector may be defective.  Either try to hook up to the 110 outlet (with adapter) or leave out the surge protector.  We have seen a few surge protector failures.  What kind of surge protector?

My surge protector has a 2 minute delay for the camper to be powered.

I have never tried the Alde on propane. I realized it was an option but had hoped to solve the electricity problem. And the light on the power cord is not on, but I’m not sure it has been coming on for some time.

I think the light on the power cord not illuminted is kind of a dead give away that you don't have power going to the camper . 400's have not been out that long, so a bad power cord (or indicator light) is probably unlikely . Could be a bad surge protector like Sharon hinted too . Is there a breaker on the surge protecter itself that may have popped ?
Could be a bad power cord I guess ? My power cord has illuminating lights on both ends so I know if it has power at the feed, and all the way at the camper , so I know if power is going through the cord . Yours may too ?

do you have a volt meter?  and second do you know how to use it?

Why not Contact the camp owner and have them check the pedestal........  Could be as simple as a tripped breaker on their end

No I don’t have a volt meter nor do I know how to use one. However, a handy RV fixit guy diagnosed the problem as a disconnected wire at the camper’s plug-in. We are good...now to investigate volt meters

glad it got straightened out,  from your desciption I would not have guessed and issue with the trailer.

is the light in the power cord on now?

@Alan, so was it the 30 amp plug on the TaB or was the wire issue on the cord?

from these post I would assume it was the cord from the campsite pedestal to the camper.

Sharon, it was the 30 amp plug on the T@B. Apparently 3 years of 2 month traveling cross country shook a wire loose
  • falcon1970falcon1970 Member Posts: 758
Intriguing!  It was a loose wire on the receptacle mounted on the side of the TAB400?  How hard was it to get at the back side of that receptacle?
  • Sharon_is_SAMSharon_is_SAM Administrator Posts: 9,760
Wire In the receptacle!  Can you share how he narrowed it down to that?  Probably everything worked on battery.

@falcon1970 the back side of the shore power connection can be viewed by raising the left side of the bed, how easy it is to contort yourself to reach in there might be a question :)

I would guess easiest would be to unscrew from side of camper and pull out, but not sure NuCamp left enough wire slack to do that?
