We rarely use the Jensen stereo anymore. Movies are streamed to the TV from my computer of iPad via AppleTV and we have a bluetooth speaker for tunes. The stock stereo was doing nothing but converting energy into blue light. That had to go. Unfortunately, there's lots of wiring and outlets exposed behind the stereo so you can't just remove it and call it good. I also needed a place for my Victron monitor so I spent a few hours designing and printing this.

It is printed in woodfill filament so it is still wood-ish. It clears the under cabinet outlets. All the stock wiring is still behind it in case I want to go back. In the pic, it is just dry fit. I still have to drill a hole in the sidewall to route the Victron wiring. It will be mounted with 3M double-sided tape. Again, no extra screw holes in case I want to go back.

I put a Sony Blu-Ray player in that spot and pushed all of the unused wiring to the space behind the toilet.  I also use an Apple TV and a Bose bluetooth speaker, so I replaced the Jensen TV with a Best Buy 19" 120 VAC model with two HDMI ports so that I can select either the Apple TV or the Blu-Ray player.  Just bought a 1TB iPad Pro 11" to store my iTunes library for direct streaming to the Apple TV or stand-alone viewing when I don't have any signal for a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Yeah, I'm thinking of replacing the TV too. Don't need the 12v capability of it and I want a better picture. When on 12v, I simply use my iPad in its mount.

Nice. That's on my to-do list this season, and I might just shamelessly copy your approach.
My air conditioner got the heave-ho two years ago, and the television went last year. Just not enough space in there to waste it on stuff you don't use!

Yeah, I'd like more storage but in AZ, getting rid of the AC just isn't going to happen.  =)
