320S Roof Trim

in Factory Comments
I discover this on the roof of the TAB where the Trim connects together.  Considering the quality of everything else with the TAB this can't be normal.

    Sorry to say but that’s pretty normal. I am not sure why they even bother since it really serves no purpose.

    @mmontz, is what you are referring to is the gap between the trim (which is normal), or that glob of something (not normal)............that is what caught my attention.  What is it?

    Sad to hear that BOTH are common.   I guess I got lucky with my 320S.  Sad, because it reflects poorly on nuCamp.

    You would think they could figure that plastic trim out, been a pain in their rear for years and apparently not able to engineer a lasting fix.

    That gob of sealant is someone's attempt to glue it down.

    Mine looks like that, too. If you look closely I believe you will find that the glob covers a screw head that appears to be holding the two pieces of trim together. I actually had to enlarge my glob as a small crack was radiating from the screw head. It's one of the things I inspect at the start of every season.
    The glob isn't visible from the ground, so most of the time it's outta' sight, outta' mind!  ;-)

    Thanks everyone.  It just did not fit with the rest of the workmanship on the trailer.

    I agree, though I have found in general that whoever was running the caulking gun the day they built mine was definitely a little ham-fisted with the trigger...  :-)

    Mine looks the same only they used a ton of black caulking.. . .

    Well, black caulking (if you have black trim) is at least a step in the right direction.  ;-)

    Sad to say that the re-occurring trim issue may prevent me upgrading to a 400 Boondock.  Everything else on the 2015 T@B has been great.  It's so annoying that it looks like it does.

    The trim on the new 2021 T@b 320 should be the solution we have been hoping for. In addition to the technical changes, it looks awesome!

    hi folks, spoke to my dealer and he said they have never heard of this problem which probably goes to the earlier comment of "out of site, out of mind"...I believe, given that I live in a cold climate, water has frozen and caused the plastic trim to break away from the fastening screw.  I've reached out to Nucamp but they told me to contact my dealer so not much help unfortunately.  Any advice or guidance for a fix would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

    good news, Nucamp warranty division is shipping me replacement trim free of charge.  Has anyone attempted replacing this trim personally rather than taking it to a dealer?

    @LBHM, if memory serves, there are some older discussions here about trim removal and re-installation. I don't think it is particularly hard.
