Recommendations on Camp Chairs for T@B campers

Hey everyone. My wife and I have started hunting for an upgrade on our $9.99 Walmart folding camp chairs. Although the small footprint when folded makes them easy to store under our 400’s bed, they just don’t invite long term camp lounging, and there has to be many much better options. But there in lies part of the issue as well....there are just soooooo many options to chose from. Might any of you who’ve set out to find the perfect camp chair like I am, be willing to share your own recommendations on the option you’ve settled on? I’m open to any suggestion, but my own preferences would be something that reclines, might even have a foot rest, and is just plain comfortable, specifically not pinching the sides of your legs like the cheep ones seem to do. If they have a small folding footprint, all the better, but I’d be willing to consider something required to be transported in the TV. Anyway, just thought I’d throw out the question to our community. Thx!

We went through the same search and decided on these from Amazon. We spent more than we planned but these are comfortable and recline. My wife has short legs and the adjustable feature is great.

We like these. Pack down to nothing and very light.

We're still looking for the perfect chairs also...but have a couple of inflatable ottomans that are perfect for putting your feet up...and in a pinch ... extra seating for drop in guests!

Lots of options here including rocking and lounge/recliners -- https://www.rei.com/c/camping-chairs
"Best" camp chair is more of a personal preference (how low to ground, rigid arm rests, reclining, camping style, etc.).
Problem with the inexpensive ones is many aren't comfortable or they don't last long.

Check the Harbor Freight director chair type. Light, comfortable, inexpensive. We also have those ultra compact Heliox type but we’re like $38 for the pair2006 RAM 1500 4 door, 2016 T@B 320 MAX S

Great suggestions so far. Keep ‘em coming. I know Patrick from TWD highly recommends the Nemo Stargaze Luxury recliner, and to be honest it looks amazing. But $220???? Seems a tad steep.Alan & Natalie McKinney, TX

I have conceded that I must buy two new chairs each year. Since I always put two chairs out, I have to buy a pair.Highly recommended a few years ago were GCI chairs that folded very small at $50 each...they didn’t last a season. The piston style rocking chairs tend to get the desert sand in the pistons. The $50 folding director’s chairs from Walmart took a beating from the sun this summer and the fabric failed miserably. Plus the fold out table couldn’t take any rain before collapsing.I now have two of the Harbor Freight $19.99 on sale green director’s chairs. Comfortable, but they haven’t been sun tested. At $19.99, I don’t mind buying 4 a year. I just wish they had red ones.Verna, Columbus, IN

I agree that there isn’t a perfect chair for all people and uses. We have used our 400 more for travel with shorter stays so convenience and pack ability are valued. I have one of the chairs @GibW mentioned and the same chair in the sand chair model for the beach. I am tall and the chairs are comfortable. They are really light weight and are not ideal to leave setup in the wind unoccupied. Also due to the expense, I am reluctant to leave the chairs setup when we leave for adventures. We have a 2018 400 and both chairs and our King Tv antenna fit under the dinner seat on the right side.2018 T@b 400, 200ah Lithium with Solar

We have an earlier version of this chair that we got at an end of season clearance sale for $25 at Walmart. We wanted a higher back and padded arms. Folds up and fits on the floor between the benches.

For me in depends on what else I'm doing: If I'll be doing a lot of physical activity during day I like my zero gravity chair so I can raise my legs comfortably in the evening. And it is AWESOME for star gazing and watching meteor showers! The problem is they are heavy and take up a fair amount of space in TV. Also I have to add a sliced pool noodle over the bottom rung to make it more comfortable to rest my feet on. If it's chilly I like a camp club chair because it's comfortable and my back is protected from cold air. If I need to put my feet up I use a compact foot stool. Here's the club chair:https://www.ganderoutdoors.com/club-chair-623443.html#q=camp+chair&lang=default&start=2&cgid=camping/camp-furniture/camp-chairs/folding-bag-chairs Here is zero gravity chair: https://www.ganderoutdoors.com/club-chair-623443.html#q=camp+chair&lang=default&start=2&cgid=camping/camp-furniture/camp-chairs/folding-bag-chairs

Our patio loungers have become a regular addition to our camping trips. Our dogs like to be off the ground too, and a 75lb poodle is not the most comfortable lap dog. It might seem a little ridiculous, but we have a full size pickup truck, so we have a lot of room.

I have a chair with the same design (well, it is just a copy of a copy!) as @MiquelCamo . The front legs of the chair adjust up and down for a decent amount of "recline" on flat ground. And, you don't get bogged down in it and have to struggle to get up. Lean back, put your feet up on something, and watch the stars rise in the sky. They are called fishing chairs.Bonus! On a rainy day last summer I discovered this chair fit in the aisle of the camper, which improved my comfort a lot!

Wow. You know, it’s kind of like automobiles.... if there was an “absolute best” in all ways, we’d all have the same one. Tastes, preferences, usage, price, fit, functionality, (on and on).... all go into the equation. But great suggestions/ideas from everyone. I’ve always liked shopping the reviews, but this is way better, almost like “live and in-person”, not to mention our camping tastes must be closer to similar than the general population just by the common reason we’re all on this particular forum in the first place. Really appreciate you all taking time to respond.Alan & Natalie McKinney, TX

The Kijaro chairs are high quality and comfy! They have two sizes. Home Depot and Wayfair also carry them.TabberJohn said:If color is a big factor you'll like the options with this one: https://www.amazon.com/Kijaro-Portable-Camping-Sports-Chair/dp/B004C0QDLO/
